SEN Tutor Wanted - Flexible & Rewarding Opportunity

Location: Corby, Northamptonshire

Are you a qualified teacher or experienced tutor looking to step away from the traditional classroom and move into meaningful one-to-one support? Do you have a passion for working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutors to support learners in Corby and the surrounding Northamptonshire area.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a direct and lasting impact on a young person's education and wellbeing.

Role Requirements:

• Pay: £30 - £35 per hour DOE

• DBS: Must hold an up-to-date DBS on the Update Service

• Experience: Previous experience supporting students with SEN is highly desirable

• Location: Corby and nearby areas

The SEN Tutor Role Involves:

• Providing face-to-face support for students with SEN in their home or a local setting such as a library or community centre

• Supporting children with needs including ASD, ADHD, GDD, SEMH, PMLD, ODD and SEBD

• Planning and adapting lessons to meet individual academic and developmental needs, covering core subjects and life skills

• Delivering engaging, structured one-to-one sessions

• Building confidence, independence, and resilience

• Managing challenging behaviour calmly and effectively

• Tracking student progress towards agreed outcomes and producing detailed monthly reports

• Incorporating creative and practical learning approaches, including outdoor activities where appropriate

• Using visual communication strategies when beneficial to support understanding
