Experienced Autism Specialist Tutor
Location: Corby, Northamptonshire

Are you a qualified teacher or experienced tutor looking to step out of the classroom and move into rewarding one-to-one support? Do you want to use your skills in a more personalised setting where you can see real progress and make a lasting impact? If so, this is an exciting opportunity to work closely with students with autism in Corby and the surrounding Northamptonshire area.

We are currently seeking a dedicated, patient, and compassionate Autism Specialist Tutor to provide high-quality 1:1 support.

What We're Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher or experienced tutor with relevant academic credentials

  • Strong experience supporting students with autism and additional needs

  • Confident teaching across core subjects (Maths, English, Science and more)

  • A calm, patient, and highly adaptable teaching approach

  • The ability to identify learning barriers and implement effective, structured strategies

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

The Role Involves:

  • Planning and delivering highly personalised lessons tailored to individual learning needs, including both core subjects and life skills

  • Creating structured and engaging sessions that build confidence and independence

  • Applying consistent and effective behaviour management strategies

  • Monitoring and tracking progress towards academic and developmental targets

  • Providing clear and detailed monthly progress reports

  • Incorporating practical, creative, or outdoor learning opportunities where appropriate

  • Using visual communication methods and structured approaches to enhance understanding
