Croydon Council is looking for a Service Manager to lead and continue to drive improvements within their Fostering service . As a Service Manager you will be providing high quality professional support to both fostering services and foster carers. Providing leadership, you will exhibit the core values of our organisation; you will be responsible for overseeing and developing the operational strategy for all aspects of our Fostering Service , including the return of Fostering Recruitment in-house.

You will be / have:
* Knowledge and experience of working within the fostering sector at management level,
* Leadership and management skills
* Ability of monitoring and maintaining full compliance with regulations and standards to ensure excellent outcomes for children and young people.
* To be accountable for the service meeting all the regulatory requirements, and to manage and develop the service day to day,
* To ensure that company policies, procedures and directives are adhered to,
* Excellent communication skills and understanding of policy, planning and strategy
* Ability to develop, implement and review policies and procedures
* Ability to oversee budgeting, reporting, planning and auditing
* Develop and maintain effective working relationships with commissioners, external agencies and internal colleagues
* To monitor the recruitment and approval of; staff, foster carers, panel members and SSW's consistent with current regulations,
* Ensure foster carers have the necessary information, training and resources to enable them to carry out their work,
* To provide weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly information required by the Directors within agreed timescales,
