We are recruiting for a speech and language therapist to join our amazing school in Loughton, East London.

The school is an independent primary school with an additional transition class for children with a range of complex needs and autism. The role would suit an SaLT who has experience working with special needs including autism.

Candidates should have some expertise or interest in SCERTS, AAC, TEACCH, Attention Autism, Intensive Interaction and the Zones of Regulation.

YOU WILL:

• safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people
• plan, execute and monitor communication therapy programmes for individuals and small groups of pupils with special educational needs
• contribute to learning activities and teaching programmes for pupils with special educational needs.

• membership of Health Professions Council and Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
• child protection training
• basic first aid
• health and safety training

Work experience

• at least five years of working with children with SEN
• experience of working with children with complex needs - evidence of continuing professional development
