🧭 About the Role
At Remedy Tutors, we provide personalised education and therapeutic support to children and young people who are outside mainstream education or require additional support.
As an SLT, you'll deliver targeted, evidence-based interventions to support pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), helping them build confidence, develop key skills, and re-engage with learning.
🎯 What You'll Be Doing
- Assess speech, language, and communication needs using a range of tools
- Deliver 1:1 tailored therapy sessions in:
- Homes
- Community settings
- Support children with:
- Speech and language delays
- Autism (ASC)
- Developmental Language Disorder (DLD)
- Social communication needs
- Contribute to EHCP assessments and reviews
- Provide practical strategies to teachers, parents, and carers
- Track progress and produce clear, concise reports
- Work collaboratively with schools and multi-agency professionals
🎓 What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
- Membership with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN
Desirable:
- Experience in schools or community settings
- Experience supporting EHCPs
- Knowledge of SEMH and neurodevelopmental needs
- Familiarity with AAC or alternative communication strategies
