Our client, South Gloucestershire Council is looking for a senior social worker to join their fostering team.

Fostering Team - will be working within SGO and Connected Carer remit, therefore please ensure candidates have sufficient skills, knowledge and experience in this area.

The social work post includes, preparing and assessing prospective mainstream foster carers, connected carers and Special Guardians, providing on going supervision and support to carers and undertaking duty to identify the best possible match for children and young people requiring foster placements. A good net-worker, with the ability to motivate and develop people. Required strengths; you will have good communication skills and be able to produce evidence-based reports with clear analysis to high standards.

Full clean driver's licence and access to a car (or able to use another appropriate means of travel) to travel to a range of locations including home visits.

You will need to be:

Social work england registered
Eligible to work in the UK
Atleast 1 year post qualifying experience
