Primary SEN Teacher - KS2 ASD
Location: South East London (Lewisham)
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: ASAP or September 2025
Pay: Competitive - based on experience and pay scale
Must have QTS
Remedy Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary SEN Teacher to work in a specialist Key Stage 2 setting, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This is a full-time, long-term position with excellent support and a fantastic working environment.
The school offers a highly structured and nurturing approach, with an emphasis on individualised learning, communication development, and social-emotional support. Class sizes are small and supported by experienced teaching assistants.
Role Highlights:
Teaching a KS2 class of pupils with ASD and associated needs
Planning and delivering tailored lessons based on EHCPs
Creating a supportive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
Working closely with support staff, therapists, and families
Using specialist resources, visuals, and routines to enhance learning
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
Proven experience teaching children with SEN, particularly ASD
A strong understanding of autism, communication strategies (e.g., PECS, visuals), and behaviour support
Calm, adaptable, and patient with a creative approach to teaching
Passionate about inclusion and making a real impact in students' lives
