Job description

Our client Somerset County Council is looking for an 2x Social Workers to join their Safeguarding team.

Hours are negotiable and flexible
We are looking for Social Workers who are passionate and enthusiastic to join us in improving outcomes for our most vulnerable young people and families in Somerset to encourage positive change.

Somerset council work with children and families which enable practitioners to do meaningful work with families and a focus on the quality of practice and improving learning, supervision and support for our social workers.
You'll be encouraged to work smarter with access to a mobile phone, laptop, training and planning resources.

The team for the west of the county are based in County Hall in Taunton. As the county town transport links are great with access to the M5, less than two hours by train to London and 40 minutes' drive in each direction to Bristol and Exeter.

You will need to be:

Social work england registered
Eligible to work in the UK
Atleast 1 year post qualifying experience
