Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Senior Transformation Lead to work for Liverpool City Council. This role will be a mixture of remote and office base so you have to be willing to travel to Liverpool.

Job Purpose

Liverpool City Council is seeking an experienced transformation professional at Senior Director level (reporting to the COO) to help them develop their transformation programme in response to their new Council Plan, Strategic Improvement Plan and requirements of the statutory intervention.

The resource is required for a six-month period and will include: o Reviewing the council plan/TOM and advising on development of clear, prioritised and phased programmes of transformation work to deliver the Council Plan/TOM, recommendations in the CIPFA Financial Resilience Review and Strategic Improvement Plan.

  • Identifying and advising on the transformation support resource required to meet these demands, options for delivering the preferred model and overseeing the implementation.
  • Providing expert advice and contributing to the preparation and reviewing of business cases.
  • Working with us on governance arrangements so these big transformation programmes are managed and overseen corporately
  • Reviewing and advising on how to embed transformation and programme management skills within the council.
  • Develop best practice between PMO teams and Finance to ensure that transformation business cases, investments, benefits assumptions, tracking and execution are closely connected to the MTFS and annual budget.
  • To provide strategic advice and support to the PMO team and senior leads as required.
