Remedy Education Recruitment Group is seeking a motivated and inspiring Maths or Science Teacher to join a new and innovative SEN school opening in Brent. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a supportive, therapeutic learning environment for children aged 7-16 with Autism and associated conditions.
About the Role:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths or Science lessons that engage and challenge learners
Support students with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic and personal development
Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs
Collaborate with colleagues, families, and wider support teams to ensure positive outcomes
Engage in wider school life, including extracurricular activities and continuous professional development
What We're Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Maths or Science at KS2, KS3 or KS4
A background in SEN education is ideal, but we also welcome applications from experienced mainstream teachers with a genuine interest in SEN
Understanding of Autism and associated learning needs
Strong classroom management and the ability to inspire and motivate students
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A commitment to continuous development and innovative teaching practices

About the School:
This brand-new SEN school in Brent is set to open in Spring 2025 and will cater for pupils aged 7-16 with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Many of the pupils may not yet have a formal diagnosis but present with traits of Autism and associated conditions. The school offers a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach to teaching in a small, nurturing setting.
