Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to work within a Mental Health Team for East Sussex Council based in Eastbourne.

Job Purpose

Currently staff members are working remotely due to Covid-19 and will continue to do so until government guidance changes. Experience of working in Mental Health service would be advantageous but not essential.
The post holder will be predominantly undertaking a duty role which will include screening and allocating new referrals, responding to issues arising from allocated cases when allocated worker is unavailable, liaising with clients, care providers, carers and families, carrying out light touch telephone assessments if required, urgent face to face visits if required, monitoring all duty intake, safeguarding, Social Circumstance Reports, quality assurance for social care assessments and care plans and supervising 2 -3 Social Workers / Resource Officers. If the locum is a qualified AMHP they may also be allocated Community Treatment Orders. The post holder will need to chair multiagency meetings for Safeguarding and other purposes. The post holder will not be expected to case hold unless there are exceptional circumstances.
