Job description

Remedy Recruitment Group are looking for a Senior Practitioner for their Adults Team for a Local Authority in East London.

Job Purpose

The Senior Practitioner will manage a small caseload of complex cases with safeguarding adult concerns, court of protection issues, Court of Protection Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (COP Form 11 DOLS), ongoing dynamic issues. The senior practitioner may need to support other social workers. They maybe required to undertake one off pieces of work such as carrying out mental capacity assessments for complex decisions.

Skills: Good written and verbal communication, negotiation, advocacy, assessment, risk assessment, report writing, court of protection report, facilitation, interpersonal, partnership working, Observation, Active listening, managing professionals' meeting, Team work.

Experience: Undertaking and compiling Care Act assessments and reviews for clients and carers, undertaking safeguarding adults concerns, undertaking and compiling mental capacity assessments, completing COP form 11 DOLS, Care Programme Approach meetings, Community Treatment Reviews (CTR), Partnership working, participating in school reviews, Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans, participating in Best Interest Decision Meeting and compiling the minutes. Continuing Health Care (CHC)

Knowledge: Care Act 2014, Children and Families Act 2014, Special Education Disability Needs (SEND) strategy 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (MCA & DOLS) 2009, Mental Health Act 1983, Safeguarding Adults procedures, CHC processes

You will need to be:

HCPC registered
