SEN Teaching Assistant

Remedy Education are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in our lovely mainstream school supporting a young student with SEN.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for send and the ability to form good relationships with children in order to engage them in education.

The child uses PECS and visual timetables therefore you must be confident in using communication aids and be able to plan sensory activities to engage the child in learning. You will be expected to support the teacher in differentiating lessons accordingly to meet the needs of the child.

Candidates must be confident in managing challenging behaviour and using de-escalation techniques to diffuse behaviour, those with TEAM TEACH would be most advantageous.

This is a full-time position starting immediately on a long-term ongoing contract.

You must have worked in a school before, and you must have a DBS to be accepted for this role.
