SEN Teaching Assistant/SEN TA - KS3 - Greenwich

Remedy Education are working with an excellent SEN Secondary school in Greenwich who are recruiting for Learning Support Assistant/TA, specialising in Autism to join them ASAP.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant to develop their experience with Special Educational Needs. The ideal candidate will have degree graded 2.2 or above and previous experience working with children or adults with autism essential. Any training in PECS, Makaton, Signalong, BSL, ABA, TEEACH or MAPA would also be useful.

The role will involve working with pupils 1:1 with Special Needs and Challenging behaviours who require extra learning support. The SEN Teaching Assistant will have the opportunity to work closely with children who have ASD as well as some other special needs.

The ideal candidate for this Secondary school will be confident and passionate about working with students who need extra Learning Support. They will have a can-do attitude and willingness to help in other areas of the classroom, and the ability to work well under pressure.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will be able to commit for the full academic year and the expected salary will be from £65-£80 per day. Relevant previous experience would include youth work, support work, mental health work and SEN in sport.
