SEN Teaching assistant in a SEN School - North London

SEN Teaching Assistant - SEN School - Full-Time - Islington

We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN teaching assistant to join a SEN School. This position is an immediate start and it will continue on a full time basis for the rest of the academic year (2019/2020) with a potential to become permanent.

You will be required to assist SEN pupils with learning on a 1-2-1 and small group basis.

To join this school, it is essential that you possess:

  • Previous experience as a teaching assistant
  • Experience of special educational needs
  • One to one support and group support work
  • Genuine passion in education
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Friendly and professional manor

The school caters for pupils with MLD, SLD, Autism, Global Delays and speech and language. Age ranges of pupils are 11 to 16 years old. The school is led by a very effective Head teacher, her main goal is to keep the school running smoothly and producing a calm and relaxed setting.
