Looking to secure a long-term SEN Teaching Assistant role?

The school site is highly accessible and able to include young people with physical disabilities in all its learning. The head teacher is currently looking for a driven, understanding and committed individual that is able to maintain calm whilst under pressure with each individual and be able to set boundaries when the pupils or a child is showing any challenging behavior. The head teacher is looking for someone that is willing to commit their hours full time Monday - Friday for a long term position starting ASAP.

Your role would consist:

  • You will be required to work in between years 1-3 classes, as a general SEN teaching assistant within the classroom, also to assist the teacher with any general teaching assistant duties required.
  • You will be required to work individually with pupils with specific difficulties. Which includes, autism, EBD, Downs Syndrome and Speech and Language difficulties.
  • You will be required to assist with lunch-time duties and the head is particular keen on Graduates that have ambition and passion to help out on after-school clubs.

Please note that you are required to have portable enhanced DBS and a physiology degree.
