Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
SEN TA Details:
* Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 am
* Ongoing SEN TA position
* London borough of Newham
* 90 - 105 per day
* Social, emotional & cognitive support for students with various SEMH-related needs
Day to day as a SEN TA:
* Supporting student/students in developing their social, emotional and cognitive skills
* Liaising with the class teacher, SENCO & wider community professionals (e.g. Educational Psychologist) to ensure students are on track
* Supporting the team in creating a progressive & welcoming learning environment
* Working with student/students in various year groups with learning disabilities (Autism, ADHD) as well as Mental Health needs

The ideal candidate...
* Academic individual - holds a degree in a related field
* Prior experience working with students (ideal but not essential)
* Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* Empathetic, pro-active & ambitious (must)
* Aspiring to pursue a career in Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, Counselling, Pastoral Work
