SEN Primary Teaching Assistant Specification

As a SEN Primary Teaching Assistant, you will possess an obvious passion for inclusive education. You will need to have empathy, compassion and patience as you will be supporting the most vulnerable children within the school. Candidates with existing experience working with young people or within education, or a care role will take priority.

About the SEN Primary Teaching Assistant Role

As a SEN Primary Teaching Assistant your role will involve you working in different functions across the whole school and you will be working with students in a series of extracurricular clubs and activities. In order to keep up to date with the latest teaching codes and practices, the school will encourage you to attend a range of CPD and training opportunities. As a SEN Primary Teaching Assistant, you will be working and developing through the clear advice and direction of a positive SENCO.
