Are you an experienced SEN LSA looking for a new role ASAP, if so, Remedy Education want to hear from you!

I am recruiting for a strong, consistent and dedicated SEN LSA to work in a lovely school in Sutton on a 1-1 basis with a SEND pupil. The role is to start at the beginning of term, and there is the potential for the contract to continue beyond for a SEN LSA who makes a strong and successful impression.

This SEN LSA role will involve acting as the dedicated 1-1 for a KS1 child with ASD and challenging behaviour. The child is not physical but needs a strong, consistent approach in order to stay on task and behave appropriately within the classroom. Previous interviewees have been unsuccessful due to their inability to remain consistent and decisive with their behaviour management techniques. This role would suit an experienced SEN LSA who has experience working with behaviour or even a behaviour mentor looking for a more class based role.

The child is very bright but struggles to remain on task and often needs a more peaceful learning environment outside of the main classroom. Though the pupil is fully part of the class, it is likely that the successful Behaviour SEN TA will spend a large proportion of the timetable teaching on a 1-1 basis in a separate room. This allows the child to focus and avoids unnecessary distractions that pose an obstacle to his learning.

As a SEN LSA you will ideally have experience working on a 1-1 basis with pupils with ASD or similar needs. You must be able to follow EHCP's and school behaviour and safeguarding policies effectively. You must also be able to build a strong rapport with parents, pupils and leadership alike.
