Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant - PMLD Unit
Location: Lewisham, South East London
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Salary: £95 - £115 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time | Term Time Only
Start Date: September 2025

Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and committed SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming Secondary SEN School in Lewisham, supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, during term time only.

You will work alongside a skilled team of teachers and therapists to provide vital support to students aged 11-19, helping them access education and develop essential life skills in a safe, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with PMLD

• Assisting with personal care, feeding, and mobility (manual handling training desirable)

• Supporting students with communication and sensory needs

• Implementing EHCP targets and tailored learning activities

• Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff

What we're looking for:

• Experience working with SEN, particularly PMLD, SLD, or complex needs

• A patient, caring, and adaptable attitude

• Willingness to support with personal care tasks

• Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset

• A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
