Qualified Social Worker - Bedford Borough Council - Permanency Team - Up to £42ph!

The Permanency Team is looking for an Experienced Social Worker to join the team to contribute working with and supporting children who are looked after by the Local Authority and their families to achieve permanence for them and to effectively function within the Corporate Parent role.

This will include carrying a complex workload reflecting high levels of risk, uncertainty and challenge, in line with the capability of an experienced Social Worker with a minimum of two years' post qualification experience in a social work role, ideally within the arena of Looked After Children. There will be responsibility for mentoring and supporting the practice development of less experienced Social Workers and for delivering quality services to Looked After Children, their families and their support networks. We are looking for a motivated, friendly individual who enjoys being part of a team and working in a busy environment.
