Qualified Social Worker, LAC and UASC, West London, up to £32

If you are a Qualified Social Worker with experience with Looked After Children and unaccompanied Asylum Seekers, this could be your ideal role.

You will bring your wealth of experience in LAC and UASC reviews and Child Protection along with the ability to organise and prioritise work and manage time effectively.

Main duties include:

• Management of a complex caseload
• Working with children subject to a Child Protection Plan
• Court work including writing statements of evidence for court
• Plan and review services for the LAC
• Attend daily handover meetings with the Team Managers to understand what tasks need to be completed during the shift
• Support the Team Managers in welcoming and orientating all new arrivals
• Support Team Managers to book follow up appointments when accompanying young people to initial appointment
• Attend daily handover meetings with the Team Managers to understand what tasks need to be completed, by who and when, during the shift
• Support Team Managers to book follow up appointments when accompanying young people to initial appointment
• Support the Team Managers in welcoming and orientating all new arrivals
• Accompany young people to/from all their appointments, which will involve transporting the young people in a company vehicle
• Accompany young people to/from all their appointments, which will involve transporting the young people

Essential requirements:

• Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
• Registration with Social Work England
• ASYE Completed
• Car Driver/Owner Desirable
• Knowledge of key legislation relevant to social care

• Strong influencing and negotiating skills with children, parents and health professionals
