Job description

Qualified Social Worker, Family Support and Safeguarding Team, East London, negotiable

If you are an experienced Qualified Social Worker with a background in Family Support and Safeguarding Teams, we want to hear from you.

Main duties include:

  • Experience of working in partnership with parents and other agencies in constructing cost effective care packages
  • Working with behaviourally and emotionally disturbed children and young people
  • To hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England
  • Experience of assessments and childcare planning for children in need
  • Knowledge and understanding of current issues and social work practice, particularly relating to assessments, childcare planning and leaving care

Essential requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • ASYE complete
  • Substantial experience in a Family Support and Safeguarding
