Job description

Qualified Social Worker, Connected Carers, Medway.

If you are looking for your next permanent fostering role, this could be perfect for you.

You will contribute to the delivery of a highly effective Children's Social Care Service based in Medway whilst working directly with connected carers.

Salary: Up to £39.532 per annum plus £2,000 retention payment paid annually after 2 years' service.

Main duties include:

  • Work with connected carers and children placed in a connected carers arrangement.
  • Assess, plan, use evidence based analytical practice to implement and evaluate safeguarding measures to ensure all children are given the opportunity to reach their full potential.
  • Complete a range of assessment related to connected carers, including Special Guardianship, Viability and Connected Carers assessments.
  • Complete all assessments within regulated deadlines and timescales and submit these reports to Court or Fostering Panel as required.
  • Attend Court, Fostering Panel and other forums as appropriate to present assessments.

Essential requirements:

  • A recognised professional Social Work qualification
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • ASYE completed
  • Car driver/owner
  • Signs of Safety experience
