Job description
Remedy Education are working with a lovely Primary school in Lambeth that seeks a qualified SENCO to join their team starting October. The position will start on a temporary basis and move to permanent. This will be 3 days per week and flexible with days. The person for this role must have there SENCO qualification.
The role
As a qualified SENCO you will oversee the strategic development of the SEN policy and work closely with a team of LSAs to best support the needs of students.
The ideal candidate:
- An understanding/knowledge and experience of working with children with special needs.
- Management experience - able develop and train a team of LSAs
- Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills.
- An energetic and enthusiastic 'can do' attitude.
- A friendly and professional manner.
- Hold a recognised full teaching qualification such as QTS. (Essential)
- Hold a recognised SENCO qualification. (Essential)
- Have an understanding of alternative and therapeutic interventions for student progression.
- Have a commitment to achieving the highest possible standards for all learners with a proven record of enabling learners to fulfil their potential.
