For this PRU Science Teacher role you will be required to plan and deliver lessons to students in KS3 and KS4 of mixed abilities by following the UK National Curriculum. All the students who attend this PRU have been removed from a mainstream school due to their behaviour. Although you will have support from 2 Teaching Assistants to assist the students and manage their behaviour where needed. The ideal PRU Science Teacher will need to have previous experience with challenging behaviour so you are able to keep the class engaged and be able to build a strong rapport.

Found in the borough of Croydon this PRU caters for students aged between 11-16 years who have been removed from a mainstream school due to their behaviour on a temporary or permanent bases. The school's main aim is to give all the students the upmost support, so they can improve their attitude and attendance allowing them to transition back into a mainstream school. In their last Ofsted in 2019, they were reviewed as 'GOOD' in all areas.
