SEN Class Teacher - Primary SEN School - Southwark, South East London

Pay: £180 - £220 per day

Contract: Full Time, Long term Contract

Start: Monday 15th April

An 'Outstanding' rated SEN school in Southwark are searching for a passionate and committed SEN Teacher, to join their warm and welcoming team. The SEN school provides support to children aged 3 - 11, with a wide range of learning difficulties, including complex needs, Autism, behavioural difficulties and Global Delay.

Job Description - SEN Teacher

· Primary SEN Teacher

· Primary SEN School for children aged 3 - 11 with a range of learning difficulties and complex needs

· Delivering creative and stimulating SEN lessons

· Establish a safe, purposeful and stimulating environment

· Adapting and differentiating the curriculum for individual needs

· Be a positive role model for all pupils

· Have high expectations of behaviour, promoting self - control and independence

· Promoting a lifelong love of learning for children to reach their full potential

· Safeguard and promote the welfare of children

· Work collaboratively with allied health professionals and support staff

· Located in Southwark

Person Specification - SEN Teacher

· MUST HAVE UK QTS

· Good academics required - GCSEs, A Levels and Degree

· Strong understanding of the SEN curriculum & teaching standards

· Personal or professional experience working with SEN

· Ability to lead supporting staff

· Resilient and adaptable

· Ability to differentiate approach based on individual needs

· Enthusiastic and passionate about making a positive impact on pupils with SEN

· Caring and compassionate nature

· Confident, with strong behaviour management skills

· Ability to work well as a team, but also independently on your own initiative, with strong communication
