Remedy Education is seeking a reliable and dedicated Personal Care Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive and nurturing SEN secondary school in SE15. This full-time role is ideal for someone experienced in delivering both educational and personal care support to students with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), autism, and physical disabilities.

The Role:

  • Position: Personal Care Teaching Assistant

  • Start Date: September 2025

  • Hours: Monday to Friday - Term Time Only

  • Pay: £100-£120 per day (dependent on experience and training)

You will support students aged 11-19 with a range of needs, including personal hygiene, feeding, physical assistance, and mobility, while encouraging independence and dignity at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support to students with physical, medical, and learning needs

  • Deliver personal care, including toileting, changing, feeding, and mobility support (training provided)

  • Support learning across the curriculum and encourage student participation

  • Assist with hoisting, manual handling, and wheelchair transfers (if applicable)

  • Monitor and respond to students' emotional and sensory needs

  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and medical staff to follow care and learning plans
