Job description

Our client, Nottingham City Council is looking for a Social Worker to join their adult Duty team.

Working will be mainly based from home. Social Workers are responsible for ensuring statutory duties under the Care Act, including the delivery of appropriate services to safeguard vulnerable adults and their families, according to their assessed needs. This includes undertaking all levels of assessments, creating and implementing care plans and support services, and case management. Social Workers are also required to complete Safeguarding assessments, MCA assessments, Human Rights assessments and DART work. The Adult Duty Team is a fast-paced environment, where workers are right on the front line of supporting vulnerable citizens in crisis. The team deals with citizens who present in crisis and require a response from the Local Authority within a maximum of 28 days. The team is currently under significant pressure as demand rises in both the Community and Acute sector during the Winter months and as a result of the covid-19 pandemic. The vacancies are 12 weeks. Candidates must be able to respond to crisis situations therefor candidates would need to have easy access to travel to Nottingham City.

You will need to be:

Social work england registered
Eligible to work in the UK
Atleast 1 year post qualifying experience
