Job description

Main Duties & Responsibilities


* To lead and ensure oversight of permanency planning through the chairing of Permanency Planning Meetings and tracking of good planning for returns home and effective placement development for children and young people which ensures that issues impacting upon drift and delay are identified and resolved before affecting the long term plans for children and young people
* Leading a culture of strengths based work with high ambition for children, young people and families.
Contributing to the tracking and effective practice to achieve assessed and planned permanency for children and young people.
* To contribute to learning, practice development, through training, workshops and drop-ins offered across the child's journey.

Specific skills, experience and knowledge
You will have experience of driving permanency work within other organisations.
You will demonstrate a sound knowledge of the legal and practice framework for permanency practice and systems development.
You will be skilled in chairing meetings and focussed on driving performance with social workers and partners.
