Remedy Education are currently recruiting for a LSA to support secondary/college-aged students.

The college environment is second to none. We have industry standard facilities and equipment at all campuses, expert staff and partnerships with other high profile organisations which all prepare students for progression to higher education or successful careers.

East London is dynamic, innovative and entrepreneurial. As we develop our longer term vision, we will continue to ensure that we invest in our staff and other resources to provide a distinctive offer and excellent, supportive learning environment which meets the needs of students and employers and prepares local people for the changing workforce of the area.

We are looking for enthusiastic and talented individuals to join our team of Learning Support Assistants. You will help facilitate learning for 14-18s and adult students at all levels in our vibrant College. You will be working with cross college curriculum teams, as well as liaising with external agencies, to support students and their learning. You will contribute to the planning and delivery of support for a variety of subjects and for learners with learning difficulties and disabilities. Our goal is to broaden, modernise and enhance the student experience and to inspire and encourage students to work successfully and independently.

Our needs are simple; candidates must be able to work effectively in a team and individually as well as being able to communicate effectively with students and other staff members. They will have experience of learning support providing 1-1, in class support and whole assistance. They will be proactive, as well as reactive, be able to use initiative and creativity to problem solve in line with student needs and be able to direct independent learning. They must have a flexible approach to working and will attend open evenings, open days and other staff led events as needed. Hours will be allocated to successful applicants when support is required, across the day and/or evening class sessions.

Candidates require excellent communication skills and the ability to direct independent learning is essential. It is also essential that all candidates meet the minimum qualification requirement of Maths and English (GCSE grade A*-C or level 2 equivalent).
