Job description

Our Client Lambeth Council, is looking for an experienced Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) to join their Team.

Main purpose of Post

To take responsibility for Lambeth's statutory requirement to manage allegations which are made against people that work with children in relation to their employment or voluntary work in the borough. Define what forms of incident would produce an allegation in Lambeth.

To lead on the provision of support to employers, voluntary bodies and other organisations whose employee or volunteer may be facing an allegation.

To handle all allegations made to Children's Social Care in an appropriate, fair and efficient manner, working towards a positive outcome in effective partnership with relevant stakeholders.

What you need:

  • QSW Status - including qualification, Social Work England registration and completed ASYE
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience
  • Right to work in the UK
