Remedy Education are currently recruiting an energetic, fully committed and experienced Learning Support Assistants to support students with PMLD (Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties) for a special school in Lambeth, South East London.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting students with special educational needs, particularly with PMLD and complex needs. We welcome candidates with care worker background as well as recent graduates who are looking to build their experience working with SEN pupils. We also welcome candidates who never worked in school settings but has transferable skills supporting students with special educational needs.

Main Duties

You will be supporting students with Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and complex needs. Many of the students will communicate non-verbally, so being able to use Makaton or PECs will be ideal. You will be required to support with personal care (feeding and toileting). You will also assess individual learning needs and work on a group basis.


Recent experience and a genuine passion for working with SEN pupils are essential. All applicants will need to hold a current enhanced DBS and be fully compliant to work in the UK.
