SEN Maths Specialist Tutor (Dyscalculia Focus) - Basildon, Essex

Remedy Tutors are looking for a compassionate and experienced Maths Specialist Tutor to support a young learner with SEN and dyscalculia based in Basildon, Essex.

Role Details:

Location: Basildon (in-person)
Hours: 2 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
Start Date: ASAP

About the Learner:

The student has a diagnosis of dyscalculia and requires tailored, structured support to build confidence and foundational numeracy skills. An understanding and patient approach is essential.

🔍 We're Looking For:

• A qualified Maths tutor or teacher with experience working with SEN learners

• Specific experience supporting children with dyscalculia or significant numeracy challenges

• Someone who can deliver engaging, multisensory lessons that are accessible and enjoyable

• A tutor who can adapt strategies to meet the child's learning style and EHCP goals

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS (on the update service)

• Proven experience supporting SEN learners, especially with dyscalculia

• Relevant teaching or tutoring qualification preferred

• Excellent communication and reporting skills
