This specific candidate can either be an experienced Learning Support Assistant or a graduate Learning Support Assistant with a genuine passion for primary education.

Learning Support Assistant Person Specification

This school is looking for a nurturing experienced Learning Support Assistant or a graduate who has earned at least a 2:2 in their degree. The ideal Learning Support Assistant will be able to empathise with pupils and work well in challenging situations whilst encouraging all pupils to use their full potential. As a Learning Support Assistant, you must have an inspirational nature that is passionate about learning.

Learning Support Assistant Role

This Primary Learning Support Assistant role involves supporting students in a whole class setting and also supporting students with SEN needs on a 1:1 basis. It will be your duty to work with struggling pupils who have become stifled by the curriculum, helping them meet their potential through smaller booster groups and 1:1 session. The successful Learning Support Assistant will receive the full support and mentorship from an Outstanding mentor who will always be on hand for guidance.
