Remedy Recruitment Group are looking for a Fostering Social Worker for Medway Council.

Job Purpose

The post is that of a Social Worker within the Children in Care Services, specifically dedicated to Private Fostering. It is responsible for a range of tasks to support the service in maintaining high standards and compliance with Regulations and National Minimum Standards.

To undertake assessments of all private fostering arrangements notified to the service within regulatory timescales, having an emphasis on the safeguarding of the child within the arrangement and to liaise with the MASH team when required. To ensure all ongoing private fostering arrangements are supported and visited within regulatory timeframes.

To promote awareness of Private Fostering within the service, with partner agencies and within the community.

Deliver professional social work services within the practice standards and the statutory and regulatory framework in current use. To support children's outcomes within Private Fostering arrangements by undertaking thorough assessments and the provision of high quality support to these arrangements. This includes statutory social work in regards to regulations and standards. Maintain accurate and contemporaneous records.

You will need to be:

HCPC registered
