Are you a nurturing and dedicated support professional with experience in profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD)?
Do you want to work in a school that values compassion, dignity, and care as much as academic progress?

Remedy Education is seeking a female PMLD Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Greenwich that caters for students with complex needs including physical disabilities, sensory impairments, profound learning difficulties, and medical needs. This is a deeply rewarding role for someone who is committed to supporting the whole child - physically, emotionally, and educationally.

🌟 Your Role Will Include:

  • Supporting students aged 11-19 with complex and profound learning difficulties

  • Assisting with personal care tasks (toileting, feeding, changing, etc.)

  • Supporting students who may have limited or non-verbal communication, using PECS, Makaton, or other tools (training provided)

  • Using hoists and other mobility aids safely (full manual handling training provided)

  • Encouraging engagement through sensory-based activities and specialist interventions

  • Working collaboratively with therapists, teachers, and support staff

🧠 What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people with PMLD, SLD, or complex needs

  • Willingness to provide high levels of personal care with dignity and sensitivity

  • A caring, calm, and resilient attitude

  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)

  • Eligibility to work in the UK

Why Join Remedy Education?

  • Competitive daily rate: £95 - £115 depending on experience

  • Full-time, term-time only role with ongoing support

  • Chance to work in a highly respected and well-resourced SEN school
