ENGLISH TEACHER - PUPIL REFERRAL UNIT - ISLINGTON - SEPTEMBER 2018

Are you an experienced English teacher, capable of working with pupils with Challenging Behaviours at a PRU in Islington?

A fantastic PRU school in Islington, which caters for pupils with challenging behaviours that have been referred from mainstream education requires a strong and enthusiastic teacher for a long-term role beginning in September 2018 and lasting at least until the end of the Christmas term, with a look to go permanent in January 2019.

They require a strong and enthusiastic English teacher for a long-term role to start September 2018.

The Client:

My Client is made up of three Pupil Referral Units (PRU) split across four sites in the London Borough of Islington. They have a secondary PRU alongside a satellite centre for pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties a Primary PRU and a Medical PRU which also provides home schooling where necessary.

They aim to provide a short term educational intervention which is designed either to maintain a pupil's mainstream school placement, or in cases where this has already broken down, to facilitate a return to mainstream as soon as appropriate.

They require a strong and enthusiastic English teacher for a long-term role to start September 2018.

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching children with SEMH needs or are open to working with challenging behaviour and experience in teaching English to these pupils. Due to the nature of the students a patient, caring and compassionate and strong behaviour techniques and approach is needed. We are looking for experienced English teachers or newly qualified English teachers with an interest in moving into SEN/SEND are also encouraged to apply.
