Job description
Complex Needs Learning Support Workers - Lewisham
- Full-time and Part-time
- Monday-Friday
- 8:30am - 3.30pm
- SEN Schools
- ASAP start
We're working closely with a number of special schools in the Lewisham area that have various roles available ASAP.
These schools are a mixture of SEMH & more complex needs schools looking after students aged 11-16. The schools ideally require staff who are available on a full-time basis, so this would be ideally 5 days a week on a long-term basis (but with short days!)
The role
The role involves general classroom support as well as 1-1 support while working closely with colleagues in providing support outside of the classroom. Due to the needs of the students (SEMH, ASD, Complex Needs, SLD, MLD) it is essential that you have worked with special needs in some capacity.
Working in these schools is incredibly rewarding. You have a chance to make a real difference in these children's lives but it's not always easy! You must be resilient, patient, adaptable, enthusiastic and confident in managing challenging behaviour.
