Job description
Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to work within Haringey Council. The post is paying up to £350 per day outside IR35.
Job Purpose
We are looking for someone to lead on the implementation of a new DfE funded project, that will work with schools and other colleagues to commissioning and test interventions for young people who are at risk of serious violence and disengagement from education. Must have previous commissioning experience and significant knowledge and understanding of working with children and young people. This is a key role in the delivery of the SAFE (Support, Attend, Fulfil and Exceed) Taskforce for (Insert Location) supporting the Government's Beating Crime Plan which was published in July 2021 announcing investment of over (Insert amount for area) in interventions for mainstream schools in serious violence hotspots to support young people at risk of involvement in violence to re-engage in their education. SAFE Taskforces will bring together mainstream schools to commission evidence-based interventions to Support young people with challenging behaviour, enabling them to Attend school regularly so they can Fulfil their potential and prevent costly poor life outcomes by inspiring them to Exceed their expectations. This is a 3 year programme with confirmed funding for that period. As a Commissioning lead for programme you will commission the interventions chosen by the SAFE Taskforce to improve the outcomes of children who are at risk of becoming involved in serious youth violence. This will involve developing the design and implementation of the interventions based on the views of the SAFE Taskforce and young people, sourcing providers or recruiting specialists and monitoring quality and value for money of the interventions commissioned. It will also involve managing contracts to ensure good value for money and effective delivery. This role is key to enabling the SAFE Taskforce to commission and implement the most effective interventions, and will be vital for the success of the programme over the next three years.
