BSL Teaching Assistant - SEN School - Immediate Start

Are you a passionate and skilled BSL Teaching Assistant looking to make a real impact? We are seeking a dedicated BSL TA to support a deaf student with an EHCP in a fantastic SEN school. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide tailored support and help a student thrive in their learning journey.

BSL Teaching Assistant | The Role:

• Provide 1:1 support for a deaf student, ensuring full access to the curriculum
• Use British Sign Language (BSL) Level 2 or above to aid communication
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support
• Encourage social interaction and emotional development
• Adapt learning materials to suit the student's individual needs

BSL Teaching Assistant | Requirements:

• BSL Level 2 or above (Level 3+ preferred)
• Experience working with deaf students or in an SEN setting
• Understanding of EHCP plans and how to implement tailored strategies
• Patient, nurturing, and passionate about making a difference
