Job description

Attendance Officer:

  • Immediate start
  • South East London
  • Attendance officer for Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Work closely on monitoring attendance across the school
  • Interviews/trials ASAP
  • Must have school based experience
  • Full Time, Monday to Friday, 7.45am until 4pm
  • Salary - £16 - £18 per hour

Job Role:

Attendance officer for an outstanding school in South East London. The Attendance Officer plays a vital role in promoting and supporting high levels of student attendance and punctuality. This position involves monitoring attendance data, identifying patterns of concern, and implementing targeted interventions to improve engagement. The role requires close collaboration with students, families, and external agencies. The school is keen to look over attendance officer CVs ASAP and meet candidates for a paid trial.

  • Record, maintain and update data for attendance and punctuality of pupils
  • Communicate with parents and carers of pupils in regard to absence, when necessary
  • Work with the wider team to effectively resolve issues that cause pupils absences
  • Contact the Local Authority when needed
  • Reach out to Primary schools of new pupils in Year 7 to track attendance records
  • Must have school based experience

Requirements:
