Job description

Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Team Manager to work within a Long Term Childrens Team for a Local Authority based in South West London.

Job Purpose

In terms of requirements we would preferably want someone with at least 2 years experience as an assistant team manager managing long-term CP/CIN/LAC and Court work. The teams holds cases from the point of transfer from the Referral and Assessment Team or Youth Resilience service. The team is responsible for managing long-term CIN and Child Protection cases, as well as looked-after children and court proceedings. Looked-after children will transfer to the Permanency service once it has been confirmed that the care plan is not to return to family. The Safeguarding team hold court proceedings till final hearing.

In terms of the role and expectations:

  • They will manage up to 6 social workers including ASYE's and Senior Practitioners, providing monthly professional supervision and at least 8-weekly case supervision.
  • AfC has Signs of Safety as our practice model and so managers will be required to assist in facilitating peer group supervision using this model.
  • They will be required to deputise for the HOS (Team manager) when required and attend relevant managers meetings.
  • They will be required to attend court to support social workers

You will need to be:

HCPC registered
