ASD Teaching Assistant

Do you have experience of supporting children with Autism?

Remedy Education is currently searching for a passionate and dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to join a large Primary School supporting a child with Autism/ ASD. The role will be diverse; with a mix of supporting the year 4 child on a 1:1 basis as well as supporting small groups in class. This SEND Teaching Assistant role will be mainly working within Year 4.

The school is looking for someone with experience of supporting ASD and Speech and Language needs. The child has a EHCP in place and you will be liaising with a speech and language therapist to support the child. Experience of working with non-verbal children will be an advantage within this role.

The school are looking for a confident ASD Teaching Assistant, ideally with experience working with classes of pupils diagnosed with Autism. The ideal candidate will be required Monday to Friday working 8.30 - 3.45 starting ASAP until July 2022 with the potential to go permanent.

• Ideally previous experience working with ASD/ and nonverbal (preferred but not essential)
• A calm, confident demeanour with a proactive attitude
• A clear, enhanced DBS on the update service (or the means to apply for a new one)
