Remedy Education are looking for a qualified SEN Teacher to join our lovely school based in Lewisham South East London.

This position is an exciting and unique school for children between the ages of 5 & 19. A supportive management team aim to meet the needs of children with autism and severe learning difficulties, many of whom have associated challenging behaviours.

We are looking for fully trained and supported teachers in TEACCH, Prospect, PECS and other Augmentative Communication Systems as well as being provided with other specialist skills. You will also be supported within the classroom with SEN Teaching Assistant and support staff.

The role is full time starting in September 2022.

Required skills:

• You will need to have previous experience of working within SEN (ideally within complex needs/ ASD).
• Secondary SLD Teaching experience
• You will need to have experience with PECs or MAKATON
• You will be required to be committed to the development of both yourself and the pupils in your class.
• You must be able to deliver outstanding teaching and learning alongside a multi-disciplinary classroom team.
• You must understand and be committed to safeguarding children.
• QTS or QTLS qualification.
