ADHD Teaching Assistant | Secondary School | September 2025 | Newham
We are looking for an experienced ADHD Teaching Assistant to support a year 8 girl who has mild ADHD.
We welcome your 1:1 support and want you to succeeds as an ADHD Teaching Assistant at one of our leading primary school. You will demonstrate safeguarding skills and collaborate with the class teacher to deliver the best support to the year 4 pupil.

- Duty: Working 1:1 in a Year 8 class
- Contract: Full Time, Long Term (Full Academic Year)
- Location: East Ham, Newham
- Rate: £95 - £110 per day (paid weekly).

ADHD Teaching Assistant | Preferential
- Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
- Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
ADHD Teaching Assistant | Requirement
- Must have some recent SEN Experience
- Candidates must have a valid DBS certificate on the update service (Not mandatory as we can provide one)
- Some knowledge of strategies in working with young people with behavioural problems
- Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
- Safeguarding experience
