Job description

Role Purpose

  • To lead on and be responsible for the successful day to day delivering of the Council's acquisitions programme, primarily in the Haringey area.
  • To identify and develop new market opportunities to secure properties for acquisition.
  • To lead on and be responsible for the successful day to day delivering of the statutory right of first refusal function for Haringey Council

Main Responsibilities

  1. To create, design, implement and deliver the strategy to ensure acquisition targets are met to ensure a supply of housing.
  2. To act as a first point of contact for all enquiries regarding property sales to the Council and to be responsible for initiating all contact with potential vendors.
  3. To act as a single point of contact to all potential vendors from initial enquiry through to post completion matters.
  4. To instruct valuation reports and any other technical property and other reports as necessary with third party providers and/ or internal technical departments.
  5. To be responsible for ensuring robust negotiations take place on all acquisitions to demonstrate value for money and financial viability to Haringey Council.
