The Single Point of Access (SPA) Social Worker will be responsible for supporting the Deputy Head of SPA in screening and gathering further information on all referrals to the SPA as needed. This includes speaking with parents, professionals and offering face to face consultations. The post holder will be expected to analyze and make recommendation about referrals with final authorization from the SPA Management. In addition, the post holder will be required to respond to safeguarding calls and telephone consultations to identify risk at the initial stages and provide advice accordingly and to respond to information requests from external professionals in line with the Data Protection Act.

The SPA Social Worker will be managed by the Deputy Head of SPA or a SPA Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities:
To support Head of SPA/ Deputy Head of SPA/ SPA Team Leaders

* To support the SPA management by evaluating information and gathering further information as necessary to provide analysis of information with recommendations of further action.

* To meet deadlines as determined by the SPA Management.

* To support the SPA management to meet the demands of the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) process within the SPA.

* To support the SPA management to deliver an excellent customer experience by taking phone consultations and safeguarding calls to identify risk at the first point of contact and advise accordingly.
