Role: Year 1 Teaching Assistant

Rate: £90-105

Remedy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate candidate who is willing to support year one teacher in a classroom setting at one of our most fluorescent partner schools in South London. Within your role as a Year one Teaching Assistant, you will assist with the management of the class, carry out interventions in Phonics, Math and English and deliver programmes tailored to children's needs.

You will collaborate with the classroom teacher and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student.

The ideal candidate:

• Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
• Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
• Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.

Requirements:

• 6 - 12 months school experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong safeguarding experience
