Job Specification - Project Manager Regeneration Schemes

Working in the housing delivery team which is within the Economic Growth and Housing Delivery Directorate you will be part of a team delivering housing led major regeneration projects for the Council. The role will be working on regeneration schemes on Council owned housing estate that are delivering circ 600 new homes, commercial units, park, public square and a energy centre. The Council has a ambitious delivery programme and the role is not limited to these project.

Areas of responsibility which are not limited to as part of the role

Responsible for managing specific areas of housing regeneration projects and ensuring they are delivered in line with the Employers Requirement for the project

Assist in the handover of units from the developer to housing management ensuring all documents are in place

Manage and monitor all documentation required to deliver successful scheme handover to Housing Management for the housing units and energy centre

Responsible for project managing connections of the energy centre to additional blocks and sites this includes complex operational issues are managed effectively

Managing the liaison with contactors and consultants on major regeneration projects for the duration of the project

Responsible for monthly budget monitoring spend against forecast and out turn forecasting for the schemes

Manage the risk register for the project ensuring mitigations are in place

Manage, monitor and report on contract KPI's ensuring these are being met by the contractor and consultants

Manage planning conditions, S106 obligations for the projects

Manage and chair meetings with key internal and external stakeholders including, but not limited to, resident meetings, draft and circulate papers

Ensure Corporate strategies are effectively implemented within housing regeneration project

Reports are prepared, distributed / presented to the appropriate committee / to the required timescales and standards.

Assist in contributing to the production of stakeholder engagement programmes and strategies. Ensuring these are in place for the projects and delivered, achieving the Council overall objectives

Ensuring the project is managed within agreed resources and to agreed quality parameters

Manage the review of progress made against project milestones, quality and cost parameters

Review minutes prepared by Employers Agent and ensure action log maintained and followed up by the project team

Knowledge and experience of GLA audits and inputting bids, start on site and PC claims on the GLA OPS system for draw down of grant funding for projects.
